Can we feed baby after giving paracetamol?
Paracetamol is gentler on your baby’s stomach than ibuprofen, and doesn’t cause tummy problems. So you don’t need to give it to your baby with food.
What temperature should I give my baby paracetamol?
Your baby is under 3 months old and they have a temperature of 38°C (101°F) or higher. Your baby is 3 to 6 months old and has a temperature of 39°C (102°F) or higher.
When can I give my baby Tempra?
When it comes to medication, you can give paracetamol (acetaminophen) to babies from 3 months old, and ibuprofen from 6 months. You should definitely offer more fluids to your child as they are more likely to become dehydrated when experiencing a fever.
How much paracetamol can I give a 7kg baby?
Younger babies must see the doctor. 15 mg/kg per dose, to a maximum of 1 g per dose, every four to six hours, with a maximum of 60 mg/kg daily, without exceeding 4 g daily.

What is the side effect of paracetamol?
Paracetamol side effects
- low fever with nausea, stomach pain, and loss of appetite;
- dark urine, clay-colored stools; or.
- jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes).
Can you give paracetamol to a 10 year old?
Take one tablet every four to six hours when necessary to a maximum of four doses in 24 hours. Paracetamol 500mg Tablets should not be given to children under 10 years of age. If you take more paracetamol than you should: Talk to a doctor at once if you take too much of this medicine even if you feel well.
Are paracetamol harmful?
Those we have tell us that paracetamol use is associated with increased rates of death, heart attack, stomach bleeding and kidney failure. Paracetamol is known to cause liver failure in overdose, but it also causes liver failure in people taking standard doses for pain relief.
